Character Creation
Hello Adventures, Wanderers, and also those who dwell in the land of Isilendor. Welcome to the first ever blog on World of Legends, these blogs will be created by the Master of Diplomacy and Ambassadors twice a month. Our blogs will consist of guides for things such as character creation, role-playing, on-site content or even go over the lore that surrounds the site!
As we are all fairly new into starting our stories, we will be discussing character creation. Character Creation is one of the most important parts of World of Legends, as you can’t do much of anything if you don’t have a character. When you are creating your character there are three big parts that go into the creation, picking your Face Claim, writing your Compendium and writing your Journal. Personally, I find it the easiest to pick your Face Claim then continue on with writing your Compendium and finish your work with writing your Journal.
When picking your Face Claim, one of the big things you should consider, besides getting a Face Claim that matches the appearance you want, is a Face Claim that matches the setting. Because World of Legends is based in a medieval time frame, it wouldn’t make much sense to have technology that doesn’t fit the time frame, such as a phone or computer. For me, it is always more fun to have a realistic Face Claim that way when I look at it while writing my Compendium or topic reply, I feel more immersed into the site and story. A great site to visit that can help with finding a good time period Face Claim would be in the link below.

After picking your Face Claim it’s time to start writing your Compendium. Long story short, Compendiums are pretty much just a big overview of your character that goes over their appearance, personality, fun facts, level of rank, job, etc. If there is anything you think another user should know about your character before you start role-playing, this is where it would go. If you want to go to another nice site that has a very in-depth bio sheet that you can use for your Compendium, follow the link below! Of course, feel free to come up with your own Compendiums.

Now that you’ve picked your Face Claim and have completed your Compendium, it is time to move on to your Journal. One of the best ways to look at your Journal is as simply something that just talks about your life. A lot of Journals will go over a quick overview of where their characters were born and their parents. Since the majority of us are only just starting out, we won’t have a lot of our lives to talk about. A good place to start, after you’ve talked a little bit about your parents and birth, would be to talk about your childhood and how you’ve gotten to where you. A lot of important things can happen in your childhood and determine a lot about your character. Throughout the Chapters of your life and the more you rank up you’ll gather more to talk about and do.
