After days of discussion and many people involved, the council decided to move on with their plan to have the first army of dragon riders.

Konrand and Aliphera would be the first and they would teach a small team who would teach more and so on.
And they managed to find more eggs and a few dragons that kept them into caves of the nearest mountain, close to the training field they were building.

They started becoming famous and everyone in the capital knew who they were. But they mostly watched Aliphera, because she was an elf and they were not used to having elves around.
Being a dragon rider and having the protection of the king made the environment more safe. And soon more men and elves would come to be riders.

Konrand and Aliphera used to fly together while they made sure the new riders would get trained by understanding dragons, before they would ride them.
Both made sure to give the best instructions to some Skill Masters and they would teach both men and elves, that came from Eldathren as well, how to take care of dragons, communicate with them and what they can do with them. Of course one of these things was how to fight and they focussed only on infantry. None else had dragons to face them.

They both flew to the north/west area. Mountains covered in snow and thick forests everywhere. Konrand spotted the place where he saved the soldiers before. Aliphera could sense that her dragon knew this place. It was were they found it with the egg. And that meant they could communicate with their minds but not talk. Just sense and maybe tell the dragon what to do, in some way.

Once they arrived at the border between two realms, Aliphera wanted to land and visit her people. But her dragon wanted to fly more. Konrand suggested to take it with him and maybe let it fly around alone.

Aliphera agreed and once they landed she dismounted. They would see each other again in two days.
Konrand flew back to Braitheld again. Before he would arrive close the other dragon turned and went north/west again. He thought it missed the she-elf. It was the rider after all. They started having a strong bond. And so they seperated.

Aliphera's village was hidden into a forest, for safety from creatures and the madness of the world. But they knew how to fight and since it was a region with elves they kept contact with the rest of their kin.

Her dragon tried to spot movement. It could zoom it's vision and sense when there's life moving down there. It was very much. This showed the desire it had to meet its owner again. And it could see nothing else apart from the forest and the hope to see the elf again. Not even the bolt from the scorpion ballista that hit the head. And it was falling down with the image of Aliphera in it's mind for a few seconds, before it crashed.

The next day they sent riders to find Aliphera's dragon. She had no idea yet, she didn't come back yet.
And they did find it. Crashed on the snow. The trees around where broken. And the snow turned red once again. But they noticed something else. Something that made them shocked.

The bolt was in orange and yellow color with one edge being purple. This meant only one thing: Akasuna officially declared war to them. And they didn't even expect another realm would find out they had dragons. Not so fast.

The king of Braitheld called the banners. He gathered as many as he could and more would come. And he sent couriers to Eldathren to seek for an official alliance, before Akasuna would move. If they didn't yet...
