Leshy

or Leshen can be found in both Eldathren and Braitheld, but are not as common in the former. They stand at about 10 feet tall and with a head that has the appearance of a stag skull. The Leshen is an intimidating creature that was known to terrorise the early Braitheldean villages. Paladin have since wiped out many of the Leshen but they can still be found in old forests near small villages in the foothill regions. The people of the village often provide sacrifices to the creatures in a brutal agreement that the Leshen will protect the village and not slaughter them.

Though the trade isn’t even, if the Leshen does not like the sacrifice given, it has been known to eliminate entire villages. They are extremely dangerous creatures; they have a powerful and innate ability to use nature magic. To the point where predators of the forest can also be compelled to serve as protectors of the Leshen. Attacking any who dare get too close to their true den.

Due to this being a threat to the safety of common people and the forests, the Braitheldean dragon, Polyxo allowes the paladins of Braitheld to hunt Leshen at will. However, they need an entire team of fighters to have a chance of killing one. An injured Leshen will still decimate any villages that were offering up sacrifices before relocating to a new hunting ground.

Warning: If you ever find yourself accidentally in a Leshen’s den, unfortunately it may be too late to escape the creature’s bloodlust.

Asmundis is known to be a Leshy or Leshen in World of Legends, however, typically can be found in the Forest of Evergreen. Asmundis is the deity that deals with life and time. He is a popular deity that common folk follow and worship. Some may say he was kind for sacrificing himself to save the lands of Isilendor.
