Nobility of Isilendor
Ruling Nobility
The Ruling
Nobility
of Isilendor consists of 4 Rulers. 1 for each Realm. Currently we have Queen Arasne Anagonye of Eldathren, King Leander Kaeric of Braitheld, Emperor Sage Hope of Akasuna and President Skalstin Eradwald of Delvheim. Each Ruler brings something unique to the table, representing their Realms values with utmost pride (or sometimes tyranny). On World of Legends, the Rulers are notable for their striking red colour.
Eldathren Ruling - Eldathren is the oldest and longest standing of the 4 realms. It is densely forested and was founded by elves. Eldathren did not begin with a Ruling
Nobility
but with hunters, arriving on the land around 5000 OE (Old Era). Their first Ruler was King Paeris, a renowned hunter who deemed it necessary to form a central leadership within the realm. Many Rulers followed, though with the elven bloodlines, some of them Ruled for a centuries at a time. In our current year, 27 NE (New Era), Queen
Arasne Anagonye has ruled for over 60 years, she is a friend of the shadows and respected Druid.
Delvheim Ruling - The kingdom of the mountains, founded by dwarves, has a long standing reign of
Nobility
. The first king was Orvar Goldbrand appointed around the year 3707 OE when he discovered gold and proposed using it for currency. This was decided after much violence to determine the ruler of Delvheim. Delvheim Rulers are historically vicious and cruel, with many revelling in the suffering of their own people. Delvheim saw some peace for a time but tyrants and anarchy took over for a while. Stability has reached the realm recently with a big shift in rulership. It has been changed from a monarchy to a presidency under President
Skalstin Eradwald
Braitheld Ruling - Braitheld is a newer realm, spanning grasslands on the east of Isilendor. They are a human led realm with a great sense of pride and armies to be feared. There have been a number of Rulers since its founding with many warmongers sitting upon the throne of Braitheld. Their first was a clan leader in Romani Emrys, establishing the seeds of monarchy somewhere around 2663 OE. King
Leander Kaeric has ruled since the Great War, a fierce warrior and leader.
Akasuna Ruling - The desert realm is considered an Empire, and it's history is quite turbulent. Akasuna emerged quite recently, forming from the nomads, tribal people and rebels of the other realms. The people that moved to Akasuna wanted to live without answering to
Nobility
. Merchant kings sprung up before any official ruling body emerged. The first official crown Ruler was Emperor Orellen Taq’enna in the year 2351 OE. Rulership has changed hands a few times, often ending in blood and conspiracy. The current Ruler is Emperor
Sage Hope who has just begun to make their mark on the Realm.
Honorary Nobility
Each of the 4 Realms have their own methods of recognising
Nobility
.

In Eldathren, the Ruler appoints noble titles to acknowledge hard work within the Realm. The titles are given in the ancient language of Eldalair, adding to their importance to the Realm. Notable honors include the Eomiren - spiritual leaders of Eldathren, the Arebane - military head for all Eldathren, High Justicars - 4 nobles that work on the Queen's council, and Kour’et - ambassadors to the realm, tasked with relations between other realms.
For Delvheim, it was often the Deeds and achievements of a family that earned them titles bestowed by the Ruler. Many Delvic Nobles lead prosperous Mines or achieved great recognition in battle. In many cases, Delvheim residents don't have a family name until it is bestowed upon them for their deeds and reputation. Mythos Bonebreaker could be a warlord raised to nobility for their ferocity in battle.
Braitheld gives traditional titles of Barons and Baroness, Lords and Ladies, which is often accompanied with a stretch of land. Baron Jorg Farwyn and Baroness Orwen Brewer are some notable figures in Braitheld. Titles are often regional, with Mountain Clans not following a structure of nobility. Chiefs are more common to see in these clans.
Akasuna is quite different in the way they treat nobility. As a realm that largely rejected the crown for a long time, there are still tribes and small communities within the desert. However, there are subsets of Honors linked with the Era they are offered. In the 6th Era, a person may receive the title "of the Era of the Sun".
