Attaining the Archives
The Hall of Attainment
A History of Archives

The most important
Archives
and Books through Isilendor, are housed in the Hall of Attainment. This is a vast library carved into the mountains of Delvheim, founded during the year 3120 OE (Old Era). Eldathren and Delvheim agreed that the best place for safe keeping the world's knowledge would be underneath the mountains, where there was less chance of fire or weather damage. Establishing the Hall of Attainment took many years, and many of the shelves were carved from stone. The Ursai of Eldathren brought the first manuscripts to the Hall, storing them safely amongst the

of ancient history.
The Ursai maintained the
Archives
for 1000 years but soon the collection grew to the point where it needed experts and scholars. They handed over the Hall of Attainment to a select group of scholars who became known as Archivists, who continued the great work of expanding the knowledge housed there.
Hall of Attainment Design
There are 6 layers to the Hall of Attainment, each serving their purpose for the maintenance of the library.
- The 1st level is the main hall where the entrance opens up. Visitors are met with stone statues of old leaders and founders, then a front Archivists Desk and behind it are rows upon rows of stone shelves. Common knowledge books and scrolls are found here, including basic history, herbalism, geography and farming.
- Magic knowledge his houses on the 2nd level. It is beautifully decorated, with stone columns depicting carvings of historical moments. It has a rare source of natural light (as far as Delvheim structures go), with large stained glass windows. Arcane Arts, Divine Arts, Alchemy, Enchanting and Astronomy books are found here.
- Level 3 is the living quarters for Archivists. It also houses a massive statue of Althena Um'Bavargil, who was the first Master of Scrolls. Visitors can stay here for a cost. Many scholars and wizards pay for the privilege to study amongst the

.
- Leaders and Masters for the Hall live on Level 4, with larger suites and tapestries of historic battles. Important visitors such as nobility or royalty are typically given residence here during their stay.
- The Basement requires permission, and houses advanced scrolls regarding magic and warfare. There is another side to the basement reserved for Archivists to complete research projects.
- Lastly is the Sub-Basement only for the Masters. It stores forbidden texts, alchemist cove and the only working portal in Isilendor.
Showcasing the Archives
The following are snippets from Books and
Archives
found in the Hall of Attainment. To read more, you must visit the library yourself:
The Connacháin Estate by Amana Falvian
"Colum Connacháin was a middle-aged man when he first met the mystic who had sought his help. One of the wheels on her vardo had become broken along the road near the estate and the mystic had asked for his help to repair it. Colum refused believing mystics to be thieves and unworthy of his time. Angered by his refusal, the mystic bespoke a curse on the man and his family:"
The Infernus by Amana Falvian
"Years before Akasuna began its rise as a major realm, the Infernus were a mysterious entity known to the tribes that made the desert their home. The origins of the Infernus are largely unknown - only rumours of their creation exist. A deal formed with Lord Tenebria is among the most prominent of these stories, but whatever the reason for their existence, they are a feared yet respected group of assassins."
The Valley of Despair by Syrus Bronzeblood
"I have seen the Valley of Despair, a place of evil and darkness. Tenebria’s influence is strong, I barely escaped with my mind intact. Whispers.. Visions.. The valley has a way of messing with your head, praying on your negative emotions and pulling forward past grief. It wants you to remember hurt, anger and pain. It wishes for you to think ill of your friends and loved ones.. To fill you with hate… but I didn’t let Tenebria get to me. He tried to convince me that my wife would turn against me, that my marriage was a farce. I knew better. I believe my love for my wife kept me alive down there."
Order of the Blue Heron by Amana Falvian
"Pywaln Qingella commissioned several boats that would take them from their homeland into the unknown waters. Heading north beyond Pressalor, a time before elves would settle those islands, this group found a small chain of islands they soon called the Heron Isles. Here, on the largest island, the found a marsh covered cove where they sighted the majestic Great Blue Heron standing tall among the reeds. The sighting was prophetic for the group, who soon described themselves by the mighty bird. The Order of the Blue Heron was born."
Dragons of Isilendor by Morrigan Darkwaters
" The first dragons came from the great unknown, the mysterious continents of the world that are too far for our eyes to reach. Or maybe they came from even further than that. Some academics suggest that they could even come from beyond the stars, thanks to their powerful magic, and others even tie them with the creation of this world, but they are all mere hypotheses. We will never know what happened unless we learn how to bend time so well to be able to relieve those very first days, which I truly hope will never happen"
