Haunted Isilendor

The Zensho

In the northern, unexplored areas of Akasuna one may stumble upon the Zensho.. though it's not a place you'd want to find accidentally. The Zensho is home to the Infernus, a specialised order of assassins that take their oaths extremely seriously.

The Zensho is untraceable though it's not known if magic is involved or if the desert simply cloaks the entrance. This den is also rumoured to change location. It is said to consist of many miles of tunnels and caverns beneath the sand. Some even believe a scholophendra - 7 metre tall centipede-like creatures - created the original tunnels that the assassins now use as their home.

The Infernus Assassins

It is widely understood that no one chooses to be an Infernus, though maybe this was the case at the origins of the organisation. Young children as old as 4 years are kidnapped and forced into intense training, moulded into the perfect assassin. Majority of these children hail from Akasuna, likely due to The Zenho's desert location. There are several ranks for the Infernus which are determined by the ability of the child. The highest ranking members undergo a trial that forever changes the person and they are understood to be dead, reborn as a new identity as a Kaofuru. Kaofuru wear masks to hide themselves.

Many believe Tenebria blesses the Infernus, blinding the unborn in order to create new Namaenai, those who conduct the ritual required to create Kaofuru.
