About Arts and Crafts

Arts & Crafts covers many of the skills important to Isilendor, helping to keep the world functioning. It's all well and good to fight and cast a spell but Arts & Crafts will help you mould your character into something more. To add meaning to their lives outside the events that trouble us or jobs that are necessary in society. Maybe you wish to be an esteemed seamstress in the city, a carpenter of ships, a stone mason for the city, an actor who entertains the court. There are so many options this course can prepare you for.

At the end of the course you will be able to acquire The Arts and Crafts Mastery Certificate.

Task: Roll for Arts and Crafts

Complete ONE Arts and Crafts assignment using ONE of the below prompts.
However, you cannot choose the prompt.
Message Victariah Rauxilfen who will roll a 20-sided dice (d20). The result will determine your prompt.

  1. You burn the food you were preparing... and everything around you catches fire
  2. The materials turn out to be toxic, causing an allergic reaction
  3. Every time you attempt to put your work together it falls apart. You wish to throw it away.
  4. One of your crafting tools breaks beyond repair, hindering the process.
  5. You rip a piece of expensive fabric belonging to the Skill Master. They are furious.
  6. Your work is uneven and flawed, describe the state of it.
  7. You spill water all over your creation and need to recover it.
  8. You got so lost in the creative process that you arrived late to the lesson.
  9. It's okay, but not great. You finish the task but are disappointed in the result.
  10. A simple success - you complete the work. That's it, it's done.
  11. You gain a little confidence and include a small flourish in your work. Describe it.
  12. This creation is fairly solid, you would find use for this outside of class.
  13. One of your classmates shows quiet admiration for your work. A little praise goes a long way.
  14. Your creation is good enough to sell for a small amount of money.
  15. Your creation is trash, but the Skill Master refers to it as "avant garde".
  16. You are moving efficiently through this task. Describe a smooth process.
  17. You experiment with a creative style and craft something quite new and original.
  18. You are doing so well your classmates are asking for help with their work.
  19. You apply for a commission to create a public work. Your application succeeds over the Skill Master's.
  20. Your creation is so spectacular it gets placed in a museum.
