About Blacksmithing

Take on the rewarding task of forging a fine blade, crafting a helmet to withstand the blows of battle or moulding the chalice of a great Ruler. Blacksmithing is certainly a noble skill to possess. Every town needs one, even to create the hammer and nails that hold your home together.

Working the forge is not all you will learn, Blacksmithing also teaches the unique art of Enchanting. Imbue your weapons with magic, so that you may carry a flaming sword, a charm to boost your magic or an extra bit of protection on that armour of yours. Blacksmithing and Enchanting are ancient practices, handed down by the ancestors of Delvheim and Eldathren.

At the end of the course you will be able to acquire Blacksmithing Mastery Certificate.

Task: Roll for Blacksmithing

Complete ONE Blacksmithing assignment using ONE of the below prompts.
However, you cannot choose the prompt.
Message Victariah Rauxilfen who will roll a 20-sided dice (d20). The result will determine your prompt.

  1. You witness a high explosion from the smithy that throws you out of the window.
  2. You burned down the smithy.
  3. The whole class gossips about you behind your back.
  4. The anvil breaks
  5. You accidentally leave the tongs in the forge.. too hot to handle.
  6. You forge a weapon that if you don't coat it with your enemies blood you get cursed.
  7. You burn the instructions of a weapon, now it's a guessing game.
  8. You managed to heat the steel correctly
  9. You manage to complete the forging task but the metal is uneven
  10. Your arms are tired and you struggle to carry the hammer
  11. You discover a tongs special for high heat
  12. You discover a pouch with a rare alloy.
  13. A spell is unlocked that sprays water on you when it gets too hot into the Blacksmithing room.
  14. You discover a parchment that contains a rare recipe of how to heat a special alloy to make the most sharp blade.
  15. You found a rare alloy that's specifically for sharp blades only
  16. The next item you forge has the ability to talk and its sassy.
  17. A rich customer asks for an order that will make you wealthy for a while
  18. You're guided by the voice of an ancient dwarf smith to unlock secrets for Blacksmithing
  19. The forge's flame turns blue. That means your weapon or armour that's forged after that is unbreakable
  20. You're blessed from the forge therefore you can choose to create an enchanted weapon of your choice.


The Rules

  • After you have completed the assignment, message Victariah Rauxilfen.
  • The assignment does not need to be graded beforehand.
  • The assignment must meet lesson requirements (eg. format, questions answered).
  • If you choose a prompt without rolling the dice, it will not be counted for the reward.
  • Entry must be submitted by Monday 8th June at midnight.

Adez K'orgaz
his two-handed battle-axe is imbued with magic from the runes carved into its very metal. If its name gives away any clues, Adez K'orgaz ('Blood of the Enemy') draws the power for its strong bond with its wielder from the enemies it fells.
