Status Powers I: Mythic
World of Legends holds a number of unique powers, only obtained through special means. Characters are not permitted to wield these abilities unless earned.

- Majority of statuses can be purchased throughout the year, with 3 being offered each month. To see what is on offer this month, see
The Status Shop
- Some statuses can be won via the
"Knighthood". This means achieving the top overall points over 2 years (not in succession). The first year names you
Knight of the Realm. The next time you reach the top points you will be offered the chance to exchange your Knighthood for a status.
(Note: not all statuses are won through this method.)
Mythic

This week we will focus on the Mythic status. The title is reserved for the divine heirs or chosen of the seven official deities: Solis, Helios, Lemuria, Tenebria, Asmundis, Lorelei and Airi. At the moment, we only have 4 known Mythics while gifts and powers are being defined for the others.
Note: The status of Mythic is only available through a one-off purchase and can not be earned through ‘Knighthood’ nor gifted by a divine In-Game. Depending on whose Mythic you purchase, it comes with a whole host of benefits for your character as listed down below:
- Mythic of Asmundis - Asmundis is the god of the earth, flore, fauna and time. He focuses on the natural order of things with a dislike for the mortal plane. Mythics of Asmundis may practice chronomancy, beast shapeshifting, beast communication and full access to the Evergreen, his pocket dimension.
- Mythic of Helios - Helios is the Northern Sun, and god of chaos, debauchery and progression. He is also the Riddle Master, challenging travellers on their journeys. Mythics of Helios can use Silvertongue and claim Valik Ancestry, the ancient race considered to be wiped out. Helios mythics can withstand deceptive tactics and learn how to craft more advanced items.
- Mythic of Lorelei - Lorelei is the goddess of the sea, the heart of the ocean. She governs dreams, stars and emotion. Her mythics can become Waterbearers, siren-like transformations allowing them to live and breathe underwater. They can use oneiromancy, the magic of dreams, and advanced water magic. Their geographical knowledge of Isilendor is otherworldly.
- Mythic of Tenebria - Tenebira is the Void, lord of darkness, death and corruption. He is often feared but necessary for the balance of the world. Mythics of Tenebira can use the shadowstryder ability and become vampires. They also have the power to contact the dead and traverse the afterlife.
While the Mythics have access to these abilities they are not expected to use all of them. How players write their character stories and use these powers is up to them. Will you use it for good, evil or somewhere in between? The story is yours to write.
More details on the deities can be found in past blogs or the book
