Status Powers II: Divine Favours
World of Legends holds a number of unique powers, only obtained through special means. Characters are not permitted to wield these abilities unless earned.

- Majority of statuses can be purchased throughout the year, with 3 being offered each month. To see what is on offer this month, see
The Status Shop
- Some statuses can be won via the
"Knighthood". This means achieving the top overall points over 2 years (not in succession). The first year names you
Knight of the Realm. The next time you reach the top points you will be offered the chance to exchange your Knighthood for a status.
(Note: not all statuses are won through this method.)
Divine Favour

During the years, Isilendor has been blessed (or plagued) by the deities. Their involvement in the world has generated special events with stunning encounters. Throughout these events it has been possible to earn items or divine favours, typically in theme with the deity that year.
The first ever Deity Event was
"It Came Upon the Midnight Clear", a holiday game to find Lemuria's orbs of light. However, the first Divine Favour is actually the Eyes of Greed. Those who completed the challenge earned "Lemuria's Light," which you may have seen return over the years. Following this visit from Lemuria, adventurers have fought Tenebria in the Valley of Despair, challenged the ocean to befriend Lorelei, ventured into the Evergreen to meet Asmundis and Airi, descended into the ancient Valenheim for Helios and even set the stage for a war between Tenebria and Helios.
Note: Some Divine Favours are eligible to be won through ‘Knighthood’. This is not the case for every favour. Please see the rules for more details.
The following gifts are or were once part of the Divine Favours. With time, a few favours have been promoted to official statuses.
- Eyes of Greed - a curse granted by Solis during 0001 of the New Era (NE). This was only given to those who used their wealth to advance themselves in society's ranks. They are cursed by their greed, with wealth and power coursing through them. It can only be broken by a truly selfless act.
- Lemuria's Light - the light of Lemuria grants protection and a guiding light. They provide light where no light can be found, shudder where danger lurks and a distinct humming is often emitted when they are content. Lemuria's Light often returns around the winter holidays.
- Orc Kin [Promoted] - in 0004 NE, Tenebria's prison began to crumble and leak into the world. Adventurers braved the Valley of Despair to face the Night God who turned challengers into Orcs. This was the birth of a new race and Orcs have since been widely accepted into society. Orc Kin was promoted from Divine Favour to Official Status.
- Waterbearer - 0007 NE introduced Lorelei, the goddess of the sea and daughter to Tenebria and Lemuria. Little Lorelei emerged to lure children into the ocean where she kept them in an endless sleep. She transformed them into Waterbearers, allowing them to live with her under the sea. Waterbearers can gain gills, fins, tails and other piscine qualities on contact with water.
- Therian [No Knighthood] - an unusual darkness took over Eldathren in 0009 NE when Solis disappeared. Adventurers were invited to the Evergreen in search of Asmundis to help the flora and fauna. However, no one could visit without first agreeing to animal transformation to grant them safe passage. Cursed Therians were given to those who tried to force their way into the Evergreen, while regular Therians got a choice of animal. Undead Therian were warped by Tenebria in later years.
- Ashfallen - 0011 NE saw Helios and Tenebria plan to go to war. Helios, the Southern Sun, brought his declared allies into Valenheim for preparations. Those who pledged to Tenebria but dared to enter Valenheim were cursed with an ashy form. Ashfallen can disintegrate into ash and reform their original shape. They generate intense heat and become talented pyromancers.
- Lich of the Valley [Promoted] - Allies for Tenebria ventured into the Valley of Despair. Those who pledged allegiance to Helios but chanced to set foot in the Valley had their mortal form stripped, turning them into a Lich. A Lich is a powerful undead being that can communicate with other spirits and wights. Lich of the Valley was promoted from Divine Favour to Official Status.
- Will o' the Wisp - Lorelei experienced unexpected distress in 0017 NE. The Night God, Tenebria, reached out to adventurers to visit her underwater domain. However, without being able to breathe underwater, Tenebria granted this power... in the only way he knew how.. by transforming them into spiritual essences. Wisps are weightless, can glide easily across surfaces and sneak through tiny spaces.
- Flugel - Wings sprouted in 0022 NE when adventurers returned to the Evergreen in an effort to restore Asmundis. There they met Airi, a wind spirit and child of Asmundis. In order to collect essences of the Evergreen and to revive Asmundis, Airi gave people wings. Flugels can take flight with ease and have advanced control over air magic.
- Valik Artificer - The latest favour appeared during 0031 NE with a new visit to Valenheim. Mechanisms under the mountain began to rumble and shift, requiring adventurers to assist. Those who tried to help restore the engines of the mountain were offered Valik Artificer. This grants unique knowledge over mechanics. Valiks can craft and use inventions up to the 1800s, bypassing the 1550 limit on World of Legends.
Players are only permitted 1 Divine Favour. If one already has a favour during a new event, they will be offered the option to trade their current Favour. Think carefully as you might not always be able to change your mind later.
