Status Powers VI: Beast Tamer

World of Legends holds a number of unique powers, only obtained through special means. Characters are not permitted to wield these abilities unless earned.

- Some statuses can be won via the "Knighthood" or "Knight of the Realm" you may have seen on others. (Note: not all statuses are won through this method.)

Shops bearing the (⚔) symbol in their title are 'Status Shops' where you can buy extraordinarily powerful weapons and companions for a large sum of gold. These items are of 'Status' quality and therefore they MUST be displayed in your inventory before being used in your Compendium, Journal or Roleplays.

The Beast Tamer is the place to go for rare, status pets. These are typically pets of the magical and fantastical variety; winged horses, phoenixes, pygmy dragons. The Beast Tamer requires significant gold to purchase such pets, so make sure to work on site activities to reach that goal. Status Pets can only be claimed as companions if they are present in your inventory. (Ordinary pets like cats and dogs are more free.)

Status Pets can occasionally be won through special events or seasonal shops. For example, the Hellhound only appears around Halloween. Some pets are associated with deity events, like the Leviathan who appeared after an encounter with Lorelei, the sea goddess.

Duelling: Status Pets are going through tests for duelling tournaments.

The currency on World of Legends is Crowns, Florins and Pennies, with Crowns being the gold coin. You can earn Crowns through the following activities:

• The Skill Log - by enrolling in skills and completing lessons set by the Skill Masters, your graded piece will grant you points based on the requirements met. A fully mastered assignment earns 24 Crowns once graded completely.
• Observations - When users submit their skill assignments, their peers can grade their work. When fully graded, each grader earns 10 Crowns each
• The Riddle Master - The Riddle Master offers a new riddle each day. Correctly answering his riddle will earn a random number of gold. More difficult riddles earn more gold.
• The Rune Forge - The rune forge provides a daily anagram to solve. Successfully solving the anagram earns a random amount of gold.
• Point Milestones - Rulers of each realm routinely give crowns to those achieving major milestones in their skill points. This can give a nice boost towards that status goal.
• Site Jobs - There are a number of positions on site that help keep World of Legends moving. Job holders earn a weekly sum of Crowns depending on the position.
