The dragon scouts used light armor for less weight to fly faster and go high to the sky very quickly.
Their dragons were smaller than usual. They could still breath fire and they could be more dangerous than the larger dragons if the rider had experience.

The last report was from a family that had a farm few miles outside of a city in Braitheld.
They saw the dragon going there and so the scouts followed the path.

What they saw when they arrived made them curious. No fire, no smoke, no panic or voices.
They entered the city and the guards said they saw the dragon but they missed it. It vanished.

Of course it was a large beast. If it was in the city they would find out.
The leader of the scouts suggested that they fly above the buildings in case they see something. And they did!

The city's library had a hole on the roof. When one scout landed on the building they heard sounds. He dismounted and walked inside. And there it was.

The tragon entered the library and everything around was smashed and destroyed. It seemed it couldn't leave because it had to open the wings wide and fly away. It was trapped. And so the scouts caught it.

Konrand gave his word. There would be consequences. Punishment. He was responsible for keeping the dragons away from causing disaster. He was the first rider after all. And now that Graix did all this behind his back he had to do something.
He wasn't happy with what the council suggested but it was the right thing to do and send a message that this is a serious thing. The dragon could burn a city, kill hundred or thousand.

The ceremonial executioner arrived with a sword that was forged with the most ancient metal ever found. Strong, sharp and heavy. It could cut a man in half in the right hands.
Konrand had to do it. The dragon was caged with chains and everyone could see the sadness in the eyes of the beast.
Many riders were standing around the temple on the roofs. The air was full of tension.

He said a few words, raised the sword and brought it to the dragon's chest where the heart was.
It left a loud noise and the dragons around followed. Some had to ride them away because they looked like a threat. And the dragon closed its eyes and left its last breath towards Konrand. He felt the heat and a tear slided from he's right cheek.

Graix was watching from a tower. He wore a hoodie and had his arms crossed.
When the execution was done he walked slowly back into the room, away from the window. It was dark. No lights. He just vanished into the darkness of the tower in the same way like the light and good will vanished after this event.

Aliphera finished her training with magic. He told none about it. None knew any details but soon they would find out.

The first thing she heard when she left the cave where that wizard helped her with the training was the execution of that dragon by Konrnad.
With few men to guard herself she rode for Braitheld...
