He lost his head after one of them most scandalous events of diplomacy: He seeked for allies, he lost his life.
When the news arrived to Braitheld everyone panicked. Who was going to be the next king ? And they were having a war. It would take weeks and the whole realm could downfall.
That's when Konrand stepped up and suggested he take the lead until the new king would be announced by the council.
They agreed after a long discussion. What bothered the council was the power that dragon riders were gaining week after week. But they would have them all under their eyes and maybe even put spies to be sure they won't overdue anything.
He would have still had impact to the dragon rider guild but he had to give the lead to someone else so he could focus on the ground too, the army of Braitheld along with the she-elf new general and previous rider, Aliphera.
There was one rider he watched the past weeks.
His name: Graix.
Graix was very skilled and knew how to ride a dragon in every situation. He fought many battles and never injured him or his beast. He was the perfect choice and Konrand trusted him. He would lead the dragon riders and take orders from him. In that way Konrand could focus on other matters of the realm.
Delvheim gained a lot of ground.
They won many battles. Dragon riders didn't help on the north/west side of Isilendor. They waited for new orders and it seemed without them the dwarves could manage very easily the army of Braitheld, along with Akasuna's forces on their side.
Elves were the strongest. Konrand sent Aliphera to them with her special team.
They caused a lot of damage but kept their ground. They had a plan. And this plan would require some sacrifice. But they were sure they would win this war, because they had spies inside Akasuna and they heard about their new plan.
That's why they kept dragon riders away and... prepared themselves for something really bad for their enemies.
And elves managed to keep their ground without letting them pass further into their area.
Almost a week of fighting in the woods. Once the riders were ready they took orders for a counterattack !
Akasuna managed to build some ships. They were going to use them to send an army on the other side of Braitheld to make them fight on two fronts.
They didn't know about the spies they had within their council. And they would pay a lot for what was coming...
