Tips to role-playing

BLOG PICTURE
Hello Adventures, Wanderers, and also those who dwell in the land of Isilendor. Welcome back to our second blog. I just wanted to say thank you so much for all those that commented and showed some love to our first blog, it meant a lot to me and really made my day amazing. But, I don’t want to bore you with any lovely, mushy stuff so let’s move on to our blog topic. Since the site is still fairly new (We only launched a week ago! Can you believe it?) and there might still be some adventurers that are a bit unsure about how forums and role-playing works. This is why I’ve decided to put together some small tips when creating forums!

There are 34 different forum areas on World of Legends, each with a different environment but with time, location, surroundings, and weather of your choosing! When you create a forum you’ll be able to pick which time you want it to take place, what the weather is like, what your surroundings are like, and what your exact location is. Of course, you’ll want to make it realistic with where you are. For example, if you create a forum in the Tavern then it would be a bit unrealistic to have your surroundings being something like you would find in an armory.

As stated before, you’ll be able to pick the time your topic takes place, what the weather is, where you are, and what your surroundings are. Use these to your advantage, go into detail on how white the snow is or how hard it’s falling on the ground. Talk about how each table looks at the Tavern. Talk about how bright the sun might be at 8:00 am when you are out in the woods hunting or gathering. On top of that, you can also talk about why your character is there, what they are wearing, how they are feeling, and how this area affects your character. Also if your new topic is going to be referencing another topic then make sure you include some information in the RP.

Do not be afraid to ask for help! A lot of the users on World of Legends have been roleplaying for months or even years. Everyone is more than willing to help, all you have to do is ask for it in chat or you can send an mail to someone you think could help you out! Most people on WoL would like to help in any way they can, you simply have to reach out to them and ask. The best people you can always message about a question that has to do with the forums or role-playing would be the City Guards or Master of Defence, this is their job so they will always be very knowledgeable on this subject.

Now, go out and have fun doing topics on World of Legends~

Much love,
