Ah, medieval...
Isn't amazing ?
We all have an imagination of being in a fantasy/medieval world and how it's going to be.
But in reality there are many things we heard that are not true !
For example the road trips.
Travelling from a city to the next or from realm to realm it was a stresfull thing to do. Bandits were everywhere. Didn't matter if you're a skilled warrior or survived wars. A single arrow could end your life. And the think is that you can't know when you're walking into a trap.
The bandits from another hand...
At least you can have some protection by wearing an armor, right ?
WRONG !
We all want our shiny armor. Chest, legs, arms, helmet. A simple plate one was the most common. We can say it was affordable. Depends the craft, the material and the occasion you needed for. But there were better ones. Like chainmail.
The only problem was that they cost a lot. And i mean... a lot !
It takes too much time to be made. And they will keep you safe. A plate armor can have dents, after hits. But they will harm your body. A chainmail will give you only few bruises. If you won't come across a giant of course.
And the most interesting fact is that nowdays they would cost like buying a Porche or a Lamborghini.
So you can imagine that only rich or favored knights could afford those.
Or if you have a high title and you want to act like a knight. You feel like a king !
There's nothing negative to say here. I just wanted to mention that you would live your best life if you were in high society *cries as peasant*
