'Fletcher' is a term used to describe someone who makes and sells bows and arrows. The term is derived from the Middle Ages and was a highly respected job due to the demand for archers in war and hunting. Many Fletchers both make and sell the bows to meet the requirements of the town or city. The term Fletcher originally referred to the crafting of arrows, but the profession expanded to create bows, arrows and crossbows for convenience and profit.
