Zella Kaplan My favorite ways to write sound? I love echoing peals of laughter, and bell-like voices that soar when they sing. In my opinion, wind murmurs, and tree leaves whisper. Nature is a language entirely its own made up of crickets chirping and rivers rushing over rocks. Machinery hums and gates creak open to padded footsteps across moss-covered cobblestones. Crowds mutter and shift against each other, creating friction in the brushes of fabric. Cloaks swish through stagnant night air. Bears growl low in their throats. Aka, I love writing sound.
